Cook County has partnered with South Suburban College (SSC) to create the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM Center). This is a permanent recycling drop-off facility located on SSC’s campus and is available to Cook County residents. On Saturday, April 22nd from 8:00am – 3:00pm, a Household Hazardous Waste Collection will take place in the overflow parking lot on north side of Main Campus of South Suburban College. Enter at traffic signal on State St.

- Used motor oil
- Paint thinners
- Herbicides
- Lawn chemicals
- Insecticides
- Solvents
- Pesticides
- Antifreeze
- Old gasoline
- Hobby chemicals
- Pool chemicals
- Aerosol paints & pesticides
- Cleaning products
- Fluorescent lamp bulbs
- Mercury
- Drain cleaners
- Acids
- Corrosives
