A Sexual Assault Awareness Month Event
The Office of Violence Against Women is hosting this month’s SSC VOICES FORUM entitled “Knowledge is Power: Understanding and Preventing Sexual Violence” on Thursday, April 27 from 10:00 – 11:30 am virtually through Zoom or on-site in the Board Room (Room 2234) on the second floor of the Main Campus.
Is there cause for concern with sexual assaults on college campuses? The answer is ABSOLUTELY!! One in five women experience sexual assault on college campuses and one in 33 men experience sexual assault in their lifetime. The LGBTQ+ population is especially at risk. By attending the workshop facilitated by Sara Ondera, Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney, you’ll learn more about this public health crisis.
