Trina Nicole Pappas, age 22, of Dyer, IN served as a captain on the Lady Bulldogs Softball Team, dedicating three years of her life to South Suburban College. Her remarkable talent and dedication to the sport were evident as she was selected to the All-Region Teams in 2022 and 2023. Trina’s leadership was instrumental in leading the Lady Bulldogs to victory in the 2023 Regional Championship, culminating in an eighth-place finish nationwide.
Trina is remembered as a beautiful, kind, and energetic friend and teammate. Her vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication to her team and community left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
On Monday, April 22, 2024 the Lady Bulldogs hosted “Trina Pappas Day” to honor her life and legacy. Trina’s #16 jersey was displayed in the dugout during every home game during the ’23-’24 season. Each student-athlete on the SSC Softball Team also proudly displays Trina’s number on their helmets.
