Adult Basic Education (ABE) helps men and women whose skill levels are below the ninth grade, and Adult Secondary Education (ASE) helps men and women whose skill levels are between the ninth and twelfth grade. SSC Approved for New Manufacturing Certificate Program
7/22/2014 SOUTH HOLLAND, IL–South Suburban College (SSC) was notified in a letter last week from the Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) of their approval for a new Manufacturing Basics 16-hour Certificate, effective immediately. SSC plans to roll out the new credit program at the start of the fall semester–August 18, 2014. Within SSC's district and region, manufacturing companies are expanding their workforce to include a variety of levels of skills. South Suburban College’s Letz Named All-American
SOUTH HOLLAND, IL–The South Suburban College Baseball Program's sophomore outfielder Stephen Letz (Lake Central High School) was selected as a 1st Team All-American by the Division I National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). This is the second consecutive year Letz has received All-American honors, an impressive feat never previously accomplished throughout SSC's rich baseball history. "Stephen has accomplished something nobody else has done here—to be named 1st Team All-American twice," said SSC's Hall of Fame head coach Steve Ruzich.
